 Introduction

The Trucker USA College provides the high-quality truck driving training for all individuals who wish to obtain a Commercial Drivers License and become a professional driver. We are staffed with experienced, qualified and licensed instructors.

The officer of the school is Alexander Vorontsov, President/Owner.


Our Programs

160 HR PROGRAM: - 80 hrs of Classroom Training, Includes: Permit Test Preparation, Cargo securement, Air Brakes Lessons, PTI Preparation, Hours of Service instruction, Endorsements Lessons (in class only) for Haz-Mat, Doubles-Triples, Tanker, Passenger (permit only, theory). - 50 hrs of Driving Training, Includes: Pre-Trip/Post-Trip performance Training on a site, Skills Training (Backing up to doc training), Highway instruction (including min. of 6 hr with 15,000 lb load), Combination of range and highway training, Right & Left Turns instruction, 1 hr of Night Driving. - 30 hrs of Observation, Includes: Sitting in the truck or standing outside watching other students practicing their skills (backing up to dock, right turns, Pre-Trip Inspection etc).

CDL UNTIL YOU PASS PROGRAM: - Minimum 3 hrs of Classroom Training,  Includes: Permit Test Preparation, Air Brakes, PTI Lessons. - Minimum 17 hrs of Driving Training, Includes: Pre-Trip/Post-Trip performance Training on a site, Skills Training (Backing up to doc training), Right & Left Turns instruction. - As many as needed hours of Observation, Includes: Sitting in the truck or standing outside watching other students practicing their skills (backing up to dock, right turns, Pre-Trip Inspection). * The School provides to the Student as many hours of training as needed in order to get the Student ready for successful completion of all required tests. Assessment on case by case basis.

BRUSH-UP PROGRAM: - 10 hrs of Classroom Training, Includes: Permit Test Preparation, Air Brakes, PTI Lessons. - 10 hrs of Driving Training, Includes: Pre-Trip/Post-Trip performance Training on a site, Skills Training (Backing up to doc training), Right & Left Turns instruction. - 10 hrs of Observation, Includes: Sitting in the truck or standing outside watching other students practicing their skills (backing up to dock, right turns, Pre-Trip Inspection).

Class Schedule

Classroom Hours: Monday through Friday - 09:00 am - 05:00 pm

Saturday - 11:00 am - 04:00 pm

Yard Hours: By appointment only

Classes are not held on the following holidays: - New Year's Eve - Labor Day - New Year's Day - Thanksgiving Day & the Friday following - Memorial Day - Christmas Eve - Independence Day - Christmas Day

 
Enrollment

Prospective students may enroll anytime. The school does not discriminate based on race, sex, religion, ethnic origin, or disability. Prospective students must have a valid United States drivers license and must be able to pass the DOT physical test and the Drug test.



Job Placement

Trucker USA College offers employment assistance to graduates, consisting of job lead referrals and job skills development. While assisting in your job search, we make no guarantee, expressed or implied, of future employment. Current law prohibits any school from guaranteeing job placement as an inducement to enroll students.

 

Attendance

Students are expected to arrive on time for class with proper materials. Depending on a program, students may not be allowed for testing until they reach a certain number of hours of training according to their program.

 

Progress Policy

There are no grading system at our school since our programs are only on pass-or-fail basis. It is up to instructor to determine whether the student is ready to test. Also, additional hours may be required if the student is not confident enough to test and the limit of program hours is reached.

 

Satisfactory

Every student will have 3 attempts to pass the test (3 attempts for each test). After the third failure of any exam the student will have to report to the State of Colorado. Depending on the State's decision, student has to follow the instructions given by State. The school would never withdraw the student for unsatisfactory result unless required by the state.

 

Facilities & Equipment

The school is located at 6379 Valmont Rd, Boulder, CO 80301. Our classrooms are furnished with modern equipment. Computer programs and videos to enhance classroom activities are available. The Resource Center and career assistance are available to students. Our skills training yard is also in compliance with the requirements of the State of Colorado.

 

Credit

 All individuals who had previously held or are currently holding a valid Commercial Drivers Licence of State of Colorado or out of state CDL are exempt from taking a full course and eligeble to take Brush-Up Course if proof of current/expired CDL is provided. Trucker USA College does not guarantee transferability of our credits to another institution unless there is a written agreement with another institution.

 

Refund Policy

Trucker USA College:

- Provides a full refund if student is not accepted by the school.

- Provides 3-day cancellation right except when student has started training.

- Provides refund within 30-days of termination.

- Provides a full refund if education service is discontinued by the school, except if the school ceases operations.

Students, who withdraw after 3 business days, but before commencement of classes, are entitled to a full refund of all tuition and fees paid except the cancellation charge of $150. In the case of students withdrawing after commencement of classes, the school will retain a cancellation charge plus a percentage of tuition and fees, which is based on the percentage of contact hours attended, as described in the table below. The refund is based on the last date of recorded attendance.

Within first 10% of program (lessons 1 - 2) 90% less cancellation charge

After 10% but within first 25% of program (Lessons 3 - 5) - 75% less cancellation charge

After 25% but within first 50% of program (Lessons 6 - 10) - 50% less cancellation charge

After 50% but within first 75% of program (Lessons 11 - 15) - 25% less cancellation charge

After 75% (Lesson 16) -no Refund

 

 -The student may cancel this contract at any time prior to midnight of the third business day after signing this contract.

- All refunds will be made within 30 days from the date of termination. The official date of termination or withdrawal of a student shall be determined in the following manner:

a. The date on which the school receives written notice of the student's intention to discontinue the training program; or

b. The date on which the student violates published school policy, which provides for termination.

c. Should a student fail to return from an excused leave of absence, the effective date of termination for a student on an extended leave of absence or a leave of absence is the earlier of the date the school determines the student is not returning or the day following the expected return date.

- The student will receive a full refund of tuition and fees paid if the school discontinues a program/Stand Alone course within a period of time a student could have reasonably completed it, except that this provision shall not apply in the event the school ceases operation.

- The policy for granting credit for previous training shall not impact the refund policy.

 

Student Grievance

All complaints must be submitted in writing to Alexandr Vorontsov by either email or in-person.

Student Complaints

Attempting to resolve any issue with the School first is strongly encouraged. Student Complaints may be brought to the attention of the School Director to attempt resolution. The Director and student are to follow the grievance procedures according to school policy printed in the school catalog. Once the student has completed the private occupational school's grievance/appeal process involving a claim of a deceptive sales or trade practice, if the student is not fully satisfied he/she may then file a written complaint with this Division, preferably online with the Colorado Division of Private Occupational Schools at highered.colorado.gov/dpos or by submitting a hard-copy written complaint to: Colorado Dept. of Higher Education - Division of Private Occupational Schools 1560 Broadway - Suite 1600, Denver, CO 80202

 Postponement Clause

Postponement of a starting date, whether at the request of the school or the student, requires a written agreement signed by the student and the school. The agreement must set forth: a. Whether the postponement is for the convenience of the school or the student, and; b. A deadline for the new start date, beyond which the start date will not be postponed.

If the course is not commenced, or the student fails to attend by the new start date set forth in the agreement, the student will be entitled to an appropriate refund of prepaid tuition and fees within 30 days of the deadline of the new start date set forth in the agreement, determined in accordance with the school's refund policy and all applicable laws and rules concerning the Private Occupational Education Act of 1981.
